Farewell Message by outgoing Speaker Prince Y. Saydee (2019-2021) LNCRF June 15, 2021

I extend many thanks and praises to God almighty for protecting our lives while under this global crisis COVID-19. As we fight to reimagine a better future for every child, let’s all continue to follow all the necessary health measures put in place by the government of Liberia to help eradicate coronavirus out of our country, at the same time in observance of the Day of the African Child (DAC) and smooth transitioning of power to another group of advocates and activist to steer the affairs of the LNCRF.

As we celebrate another children’s day in 2021, it reflects my mind’s to renew our commitment to the principles established by the Liberia National Children Representative Forum cherish in the 2011 Children’s Law of Liberia and our regional commitment to the welfare and protection of children within the African Charter on Rights and Welfare of children and the fundamental global guarantee for all children, an episode of the freedom and the space for children to enjoy their sanity and being as human thereby provided by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. In all of those principles’ commitment, we as a sovereign state in the mood and heart of children to accelerate their rights and make them live better lives rather than the essence of nothing choose to subscribe to policies and laws that pledge our support to their rights to survival, development, participation, and protection.
On behalf of the Liberian National Children’s Representative Forum (LNCRF) and the entirety of Children in Liberia, please allow me to extend a special and genuine appreciation to our international partners; UNICEF, SOS Children’s Villages Liberia, PLAN International Liberia, Save the Children, Sweden Embassy, UFDUM, 4kids International, Child Welfare Officers, CPN and the Government of Liberia (MOGCSP/MOJ) for their valuable contributions to the growth of the Liberian children and our institution (the LNCRF) both morally and financially.

We’ve come through a year that was filled with both challenges and victories. How reassuring it’s been to know that we can count on all of you regardless of what faces us. On behalf of the Liberian National Children’s Representative Forum (LNCRF) and the Entirety of Children in Liberia, please allow me to extend gratitude to each and every one of you for your valuable contributions to this institution. Working with you for the past years has been a great pleasure and we’re proud to have you all with us.

I appreciate the excellent performances of all our parliamentarians for the commitment, hard-worked, discipline, determination, and dedication to the struggles of the Liberian children and our institution the Liberian Children’s Parliament, now the National Children’s Representative Forum for the (2yrs) period under review of our administration June 16, 2019, to June 16, 2021. The Liberian National Children’s Representative Forum (LNCRF) has not only benefited from your service, but you have also set a benchmark in the lives of many children of our republic and the LNCRF history.
It has never been an easy task leading the Liberian National Children’s Representative Forum, to the lack of budgetary support from the GOL. Too many challenges and obstacles, but by great teamwork, the tireless efforts of our parliamentarians, and support from international partners, we were able to turn most of them into great opportunities/programs that impacted the lives of the Liberian Children positively. Once again, special thanks to the National Secretary Hon. Abraham Gayah for preparing the 2yrs report. LNCRF first and LNCRF last. Yes! We move.

LNCRF Elected Leadership at the End of the 2019 June 15 election. From L-R (Abraham Gayah-Secretary-General, Hulaimatu C. Diallo-First Deputy Speaker, Aloysius S.
